Hey girlfriend! Did you know that many cultures actually celebrate the new year at the start of March instead of in the dead of winter? As we spring into the new season, I wanted to share some simple tips to help you revitalize your space and yourself.
Reawakening Your Space
Hopefully, by now, those Christmas lights are packed up. No judgment if they’re still up, but it’s time for a change! When reawakening your space, start by tucking away the winter remnants. Fold up those thick blankets, store away the cinnamon-scented candles, and pack up your flannels. These small actions send a signal to your subconscious that you're ready for warmer days.
To bring the new season into your home, consider adding fresh flowers or new plants. Open the blinds and invite the light in—this simple step will make your room feel lighter, airier, and brighter. As the days get longer, the sunlight will fill your space, lifting your mood in no time. If you're feeling extra motivated, why not dive into some spring cleaning? A deep clean of those hidden corners and storage spaces will breathe new life into your home.
Reawakening Yourself
When it comes to reawakening yourself, start with some simple swaps. Bright, colorful nail polish and fresh, vibrant makeup palettes will complement the flowers blooming all around you. Dust off those flowy dresses and embrace the nicer weather.
Another way to rejuvenate yourself is by creating a schedule or routine that you can actually stick to. This brings a sense of stability and something to look forward to as the months get busier. Don’t forget to spend time outside! Whether you go for a walk or a run, breathing in the fresh air and taking in the returning greenery will give you that much-needed boost. And hey, did someone say “summer bodies”?
In the words of Jim Carrey, “Flowers don’t worry about how they’re going to bloom. They just open up and turn toward the light, and that makes them beautiful.” These tips may seem small, but trust me, they’re mighty. You may not have your entire summer planned out or your New Year’s resolutions completely nailed, but opening the blinds, buying fresh flowers, and taking a walk will surely help put a spring in your step.
