To take part in this fun little exercise, you’ll need a sheet of paper, a pen or pencil, and a clear mind (plus a dash of imagination). The key is to not overthink your answers—just write down the first thing that comes to mind.

Step 1:

Fold your paper into fourths because there are four questions, and you’ll need a section for each one.

First question:

What is your favorite animal? Write three adjectives that describe it.

Second question:

What is your favorite color? Write three adjectives that describe it.

Third question:

What is your favorite body of water? Write three adjectives that describe it.

Fourth question:

Imagine you wake up in a room. There are no doors, and the only window you can see is one you can't look out of. You don’t know how long you've been there or how long you'll stay. One day, there’s a sudden burst of white light that floods in through the window. Write three adjectives that describe how you feel.
