4 Game-Changing Items I Wish I’d Bought Earlier

Updated: Jan 27

Hey girlfriend! We all have those favorite products we discover—whether through friends, Instagram scrolling, or by happy accident. These gems can make life so much easier and more functional. Below, I’ve listed four products that have made a huge difference in my life, and hopefully, they’ll do the same for you!

1. Subtl Beauty

Makeup can be such a hassle. Aside from learning how to apply it, there’s also the stress of choosing trustworthy brands and the frustration of traveling with bulky products. That’s when I discovered Subtl Beauty, and let me tell you—I’ve been obsessed ever since.

Subtl Beauty sells small, stackable makeup palettes that are perfect for anyone on the go. You can mix and match everything from concealer and blush to highlighter and bronzer. The best part? Their products come in a variety of shades, and you can even choose between powders and creams. If you’re unsure about your match, you can email them for a consultation and shade test—super helpful!

The little stackable holders are reusable, so you can refill or switch up your makeup stack anytime you want. I honestly haven’t bought any other makeup since discovering Subtl Beauty.

2. The Eternal Pencil

The Eternal Pencil is exactly what it sounds like: a pencil that never ends. No sharpening. No breaking. It’s a game-changer. I stumbled across one at a Japanese store and immediately knew every student (or stationery lover) needs this on their back-to-school list.

The ones I found are all black—super sleek, stylish, and easy to grip. When I first used it, I expected it to feel scratchy or uncomfortable, but it was so smooth and left behind zero lead crumbs (goodbye, paper smudges!). After testing it in the car post-purchase, I went back inside and grabbed two more. Honestly, it’s one of the coolest little tools I’ve come across.

3. Wild Deodorant

I’ll be honest—Wild Deodorant took a little time to grow on me. But once I switched back to a standard deodorant for a few days, I realized just how much I appreciate this brand and everything it offers.

Wild is a sustainable deodorant company that avoids aluminum and parabens. Their reusable cases come in a variety of colors (with limited-edition patterns, too!). The deodorant itself is sold in sets of three—reasonably priced—and comes in both classic and seasonal scents. They even offer options for sensitive skin!

I used Wild for about a year and loved it, but during an international trip, I grabbed a travel-sized stick of a popular drugstore brand. Big mistake. I was mortified at how hard it was to scrub the residue off my skin. Wild never gave me that issue. Needless to say, I’m sticking with Wild forever.

4. Cadence Capsules

To all my travel-loving friends—this one’s for you! Cadence Capsules have totally transformed the way I pack my toiletries.

Before Cadence, I’d funnel products into cheap plastic travel containers, only to waste so much product because I couldn’t squeeze out every last drop. I was this close to checking a bag just to bring full-sized bottles when I discovered Cadence.

Cadence containers are genius because they have wide mouths, making it so easy to pour in products and use every bit. They’re also made of recycled plastic, which makes them super durable and sustainable. Cleaning them is a breeze, and they’re completely reusable.

The best part? The capsules are magnetic, so they stick together in your shower bag or on a counter, and you’ll never lose a lid again. They come in a variety of sizes and colors, so you can organize everything from sunscreen and conditioner to vitamins.

While this list is short, I hope it’s helped you discover something new that you’re excited to try. I don’t recommend things often, but when I do, you know I swear by them.

Happy shopping, girlfriend!
